El molí està fet de fusta massissa de cautxú, totalment certificada FSC, i acabat amb 8 capes de laca brillant, polides a mà entre cada capa. Mitjançant un mecanisme de ceràmica, el molí requereix un moviment en sentit horari per activar-se. Els molins es poden utilitzar per moldre sal de roca (cristalls de sal seca) o grans de pebre negre. No s'ha d'utilitzar per a sal marina, sal humida, sal humida seca o grans de pebre rosa.
